Official taste tester
Danny likes to put everything in his mouth. Especially outside. He was given the name Detective Danny because he might uncover a dead rat buried under a foot of dirt, a burger bun in a bush, or a squirrel that had died and was beginning to rot next to a rat trap. If the FBI is hiring, please tell Danny. He has lots of experience! Also, if you meet someone outside for a quick chat, Danny will tell you to keep it short by eating grass and vomiting it back out, so watch out for that. Thus, "outside, no eat" would have to be used to remind him not to eat outside.
Allergies: none
Eating Schedule:
1/7/24: Primary protein is beef. His current dog food is:
Kirkland Signature Nature's Domain Beef & Sweet Potato Dog Food. He may have a soft stool if Danny consumes other proteins. Feel sparsely.Morning: 1.5 cups of dry dog food
Evening: 1.5 cups of dry dog food
It's possible that he doesn't feel hungry. His eating habits are sporadic and based on his mood. It's fine to combine his servings and leave it in his bowl; he'll eat it when he's hungry.
Treats: Danny can start getting treats after he has at least started his regular dog food. He also gets a dental treat right after his last walk before bed.
Other Notes:
Danny likes the typical human foods that dogs eat: frozen string beans, carrots, peanut butter, etc. He also likes a dash of dehydrated jalapeno powder on his dry food.
There is an effort for Danny to drink more water as he hasn't been drinking after he eats, which is a concern for his kidneys. Try to get him to drink more water if possible.
Just like preventing eating grass, the same goes for sticks; he had bloody diarrhea, potentially due to an intestinal injury.
